Endothermic Blitherings formed in the winter of 1983 over a beer-infused weekend in Price, Utah. The lineup included Bradford Grant Boyle, Tim Lunt, and visiting friends. Crude boombox recordings from that weekend later inspired Boyle and Lunt to form Primal Scream. The mascot for Primal Scream was also born in Price: a beer-bong-infused stuffed animal known as Buck the Bear. Fitted with a tube through his body and a funnel above his head, he became a popular icon. Primal Scream later wrote one of their most popular live songs, “Buck the Bear,” as a tribute.
