Primal Scream was a Salt Lake City band formed in 1983, merging Endothermic Blitherings with IXL and The Persuaders. While in Salt Lake City, the band went through many member changes, but eventually centered on founders Tim Lunt and Bradford Grant Boyle, with the rest of the lineup varying depending on the performance. The group released a crude but critically acclaimed album, Terminal Velocity, and performed locally before relocating to Los Angeles in 1985, where they played venues including Madam Wong’s West.
